HMT has almost 20 years experience designing IO-Link products, and was an early adopter of this rapidly growing sector with the release of the HMT7742 single channel PHY transceiver. HMT is committed to IO-Link, and we continue to develop and add more products to our growing IO-Link family.
Since the release of the HMT7742 IO-Link SINGLE PHY transceiver, we have included a dual channel version, the HMT7748 IO-Link DUAL PHY transceiver, a lightweight version, the HMT7740/1 IO-Link LIGHTWEIGHT PHY transceiver, and we offer a varied palette of IO-Link IP's and IO-Link module solutions for integration in a variety of customer specific applications.
HMT7742 IO-Link Device SINGLE PHY
Description
The HMT7742 GENIE family IC provides a bridge between a microcontroller with a sensor or actuator function and a 24V supply and signalling cable, specified to support IO-Link.
In normal operation the HMT7742 is configured by the microcontroller via the SPI interface at start-up. Typically the HMT7742 will then function as a Single Input Output IO-Link device driving the output line and load as configured by the microcontroller. If the device is connected to an IO-Link master, then the master can initiate communication and exchange data with the microcontroller while the HMT7742 acts as the physical/data-link layer for the communication.

HMT7748 IO-Link Device DUAL PHY
Description
The HMT7748 GENIE family IC provides a bridge between a microcontroller with a sensor or actuator function and a 24V supply and signalling cable, specified to support IO-Link.

HMT7740/1 IO-Link Device LIGHTWEIGHT PHY
Description
The HMT7740 and HMT7741 GENIE family IC is a physical layer transceiver (PHY) with a simple and flexible switching architecture, comprised of two independently driven bi-directional floating switches, with integrated surge and zero current reverse polarity protection.
The device is primarily used in IO-Link or Single Input Output (SIO) switching applications for driving coils or inductive and capacitive loads for industrial sensor/actuator applications. The device is available in two voltage configurations, 3.3V (HMT7740) or 5.0V (HMT7741).
